Heather Clark | Wanderluster, Roving Shutterbug, List Maker Extraordinaire / Studio December 19, 2007
I love the depth in this photo. - Peter Boysen - http://www.peterboysen.com What a very intense gaze she has. And her posture/pose is sort of severe and prim, like a schoolmarm.
Makes me wonder what her secret double life is, how she lets her how down. - Jen - http://www.honest-planet.com really lovely, very captivating. I like the way you've framed it, zooming out so that the paper which would normally be the solid background is visible in that way. that is, as you Americans would say, pretty neat ;-). - Andrea - www.andreamann.com this one's beautiful! - Martha Very nice Bill. Heather looks beautiful in this shot. Makes me lust for my little list-maker all the more! - Colin - www.productspark.com Nice portrait. Focus is clean for the subject and the background is properly fuzzy and not the important piece in the picture (as are some of the others). I like the small background on the larger gray ground. I like the dodging in the corners even if it is a little tight for my preference.
Bill, are you going to continue this exercise? Hope so. - John Andrews Those eyes! Wondrous!
A really strong portrait. I love everything about it. - James Curtis Smith - http://www.justjames.org/ I love the way her face looks very intense, very much like the "schoolmarm" mentioned earlier, but how her hands show that she's a little insecure. Great!
Her eyes are very expresive, makes you want to sit and have a conversation with her. She definitely looks like a "list maker extraodinaire"! - Leese Another lovely portrait. This doesn't have much to do with the photo itself, but I love her outfit. It looks slightly futuristic which makes the subject more intriguing.
Also, congratulations on almost making it through the year. You've really accomplished a lot and your portraits allow us a glimpse into different worlds/lives.
Thanks. - thymiane3000 - http://chiaroscuro-photo.blogspot.com/ Excellent portrait !. I like the light and pose. - Victor Puig - http://www.flickr.com/photos/45street Intense! Very calming colors, but her expression and pose are intense. Great contrast, really. Good work again, Bill. - Ela Lovely pose. Beautiful portrait. - Victor Puig - http://www.flickr.com/photos/45street
I'm Bill Wadman, a New York-based photographer who after completing my first 365 Project, and then a weekly 52 Project, took it upon myself to shoot and post one portrait every day of 2007. Each photo was taken that day, and each day was a different subject. Some were be in the studio, some in the wild. Hopefully they are all interesting.
