I'm Bill Wadman, a New York-based photographer who after completing my first 365 Project, and then a weekly 52 Project, has taken it upon myself to shoot and post one portrait every day of 2007. The photo will have been taken that day, and each day will be a different person. Some will be in the studio, some will be in the wild. Hopefully they will all be interesting.
FYI, I am NOT Our365portraits.com who places Craigslist ads looking for photographers. I'm pretty sure they give an email address to reply to, and it's not mine. Thanks.

Awesome image! I love how you don't see the adult (father?). You just see two arms emerging from the darkness, holding Jonah up.

Isn't this the opening scene from The Lion King...

Wow, Bill, this is amazing! Really new, fresh and really gorgeous. Amazing idea. The lighting... I love it. Everything about it.

This is awesome, definitely a twist on a common scene.

I can't stop grinning. This is a "YAY for Babies!" moment. Great shot.

Wow, world-weary at 6 months old. This just became one of my all-time favorites on the site, Bill -- simply wonderful.

Oh, this is SO wonderful! I love the look on little Jonah's face. The composition is flawless as always, and there's nothing quite so beautiful than a brand-spanking new baby. *applause*
Diane
that is gross! You people must love Jonah Max because you can't love that photo, it is gross.
Peggy Tippett
not sure what is gross about it...but yes...we love him and we love the photo...i hope if you have a son that no one says a picture of him is gross
renee (jonahs mom)
Peggy, are we looking at the same picture? Because I see a beautiful image of an adorable baby. I love the contrast of the skin tones, and his little hand on in face really makes the shot. Renee, your baby is beautiful.

I am sorry but some of you people are just nuts (peggy). Too take a harmless shot at someone's child disgusts me. What goes around comes around.

Great shot. I love babies. I'd love to know the lighting set up on this one. Looks like one light, but you hid the father well. Your stuff is so unique.

I first thought that those were two hairy thighs behind the kid....I was a bit uneasy about the photo.....now that I got my head out of my butt, I can see they are arms!!!!! Now I love the photo......
David
David, you made me laugh really hard.

I don't normally like baby pictures (too cutesy, think Anne Geddes) But this one is so full of personality, so charming, and that kid seems wise beyond his years. love this!

Wow. It's got character. You caught a great balance between the arms holding him up and the child's expression in time. The black limbo really works well with the arms only showing so as to highlight the baby foremost and the support of parents in the background. Creative. Dave Marcotte
