funny thing... the eyes are fixating, whereas the background, in all its blurryness, seems very distracting at the same time. wonderful. - samsplanet yes, the in-focus/out-of-focus split here is just fab; it's as if the subject is superimposed or floating somehow... almost 3D. fine work, my man. ;-) - andrea - www.andreamann.com I don't know very much about photography, only that these are amazingly beautiful photographs that are deeply moving. I don't know how you manage to capture the humanity in every single person you photograph, but it definitely shines through and makes these pictures unforgettable.

This photo draws you in, and makes you think you're sitting there with Jonelle in the park. The contrasts and the compositions on your site are just perfect. I'm Bill Wadman, a New York-based photographer who after completing my first 365 Project, and then a weekly 52 Project, took it upon myself to shoot and post one portrait every day of 2007. Each photo was taken that day, and each day was a different subject. Some were be in the studio, some in the wild. Hopefully they are all interesting.
