David Bias - Art Director, Camera Collector / Studio June 03, 2007
I really like this portrait, there is a warmth in David's expression, a certain degree of happiness too it seems, I'm almost tempted to say accomplished. The high-key lighting works really well with David's features and the hat is a great element. Rounding it all off is an interesting frame.
Nice work Bill! - Andrew There's something about this that just feels very 1950s summercamp. The tones, textures. Relaxed feel. Nice. - AL I know David really real, work with him almost daily for 10 years, and I have never seen a photograph capture someone's personality so well. In fact, the photo makes him looks even better than that! - Michael Dorf - www.michaeldorf.com Yay Polaroid! I think that's a style that's just not used enough anymore - and it makes such neat tones/colours possible - not to mention frames.
Nice portrait... Definitely the '50's feel, for sure! - Dan (the first one) - http://studyhumannature.blogspot.com/ Great photo of Dave. And hey! I've been photographed by both Bill Wadman and Dave Bias. Small world. - William Shunn - http://www.shunn.net fantastic- a good use of the polaroid film. i wish i was consistant enough to be on polaroid film... guess I'll settle for digital. - csd
I'm Bill Wadman, a New York-based photographer who after completing my first 365 Project, and then a weekly 52 Project, took it upon myself to shoot and post one portrait every day of 2007. Each photo was taken that day, and each day was a different subject. Some were be in the studio, some in the wild. Hopefully they are all interesting.
365 Portraits - The Book is now for sale on Blurb - Order Now!!
