Hm... Bill, I have a feeling I won't be able to articulate exactly what kind of thoughts and emotions this portrait brings out in me, but I want to try. I was never good at writing anyway. This is a very austere portrait, and I love her posture and expression. Her posture and expression seems to challenge or match the stalwart presence of the Brooklyn Bridge. The portrait overall is making a very strong statement that can not be ignored, or am I just blowing hot air? Man...I miss Brooklyn. Nice job Bill, cheers. -by the by, I did not notice the tree in the middle of the picture at first, but I wonder if it the portrait would be more focused without it.

Outstanding portrait. Implied strength of character? Just a well done composition. Personally, I think that the tree is a fabulous character in this shot - adds a flexibility statement, if you want to look at this as a character sketch as well as a portrait. Which, I might add, it seems that Bill is doing in a lot of his (did I mention Fabulous?) portraits so far posted. Whew. Love it.

quote alexander: ...posture and expression seems to challenge or match the stalwart presence of the Brooklyn Bridge... i agree quote dan: ...Implied strength of character? ... i think so but what cought my eye before the bridge and long before the tree, were her red shoes... maybe she is hard as steel but loves to dance... that's an encouraging thought. all in all a great picture, once again. greetings from switzerland sam

Her expression makes this photograph & then her shoes. Lovely. I think the tree is works, even if it seems awkward. Bell-

I didn't even notice the tree. I like this photo! I love how her dress "matches" the bridge.....this makes her face stand out. She looks stong and smart. love the shoes too, adds the sense that the model is also a fun or adventurous person.

LOVE this one. I wonder if we all would have noticed her shoes if the blurb about her didn't end right at them. I didn't notice them until I read it, then I loved them too - and I don't give a rip about shoes.

This tree portrait would look better if there wasn't a person standing in front of it. Or if it was wearing red shoes. Just kidding- another nice shot :)

I feel like it's a portrait of both the person and of New York. Both look so strong without being abrasive. Well done. As I'm sure you know.

Well somebody has to say it: that's the MANHATTAN Bridge.
