Technical Aspects of 365 Portraits

I've gotten a few emails about my equipment and technical process, so I figured I'd just write it up for those of you who care about such things.

Most of the time I'm shooting digital for cost and time reasons. I shoot RAW all the time and my current setup is:

Body: Canon 5D
Lenses: Canon 24-70/2.8L, Canon 17-40/4L, Canon 70-200/4L, Canon 50/1.4, Canon 100/2

If I shoot film it's usually with a Hasselblad 500C/M fitted with a standard 80/2.8 lens. Sometimes film (mostly Kodak Portra NC), sometimes Polaroid b/w. I've also got a Mamiya RZ67 which I used once so far, and a Canon rangefinder from the early 70's

Processing is done in Photoshop CS2 using ACR for raw conversion. Like most people I do a lot of curves and selective adjustments. The files for screen are processed with "smart sharpen" at a small radius like .4 and percentage to taste.

I work on a Intel Core 2 Duo machine I built with 3GB of RAM running Windows Vista, and an Eizo CE240W monitor (best thing I ever bought)

I think that about covers it, and I'll stop geeking out now. Let me know if you have any other questions.
